GHETTO DREAMZ - THE DAGRIN STORY MOVIE PREMIERE 1

 The Movie was based on a true life story of a Rap Legend in Nigeria OLAITAN OLADAPO OLAONIPEKUN aka  DAGRIN , whose sudden demise happened in a ghastly motor accident at a very young age which stunned the entire nation and Nigerians at large.

The movie is a Biopic that recreates DAGRIN's personal life, school life, music struggle , the challenges, and the ultimate  tragic accident that occurred at the point of his success using a mixture of Nollywood superstars like PA KASUMU, RACHAEL ONIGA, DORIS S. ADEMINOKAN, GABRIEL AFOLAYAN and introducing the lead actor TRYBSON DUDUKOKO .

SUMMARY ABOUT THE MOVIE

The Movie starts with the tragic accident scene where the young rap artiste DAGRIN crashes headlong into a stationary trailer. As he was rushed to the hospital by the police , we saw the different reactions to the tragic news by Nigerians and also see some of the drama at the hospital where doctors battled for 7 days to save the life of the young rapper before he died.

From the hospital scene, we are taken through the different stages in the life of DAGRIN as he contended with his family, his friends, the school system and contemporaries for slef actualisation through his unique brand of music. The movie explores his truamatic school life , the decision to go into music fully and many rejections from record promoters.

*Sad* the movie also develops a parallel level with his growth as a musician , the love angle with his girlfriend DORIS S. ADEMINOKAN (Chi chi ) . The plot line which takes the viewer through the differenet stages of the realtionship all the way to his heart breaking conclusion .. *sigh* . All in all, the biopic is a very dramatic, presentation of DAGRIN as many people never even knew him *crying*

OPE BANWO  is an entrepreneur, an attorney, a business consultant, an author, a motivational speaker, an entertainment executive and a corporate solution provider. He graduated in Law fron the Univeristy of Ife (1985) , admitted to the Nigerian Bar (1986) and Masters Degree in Law from University of Lagos (1989) . He was also admitted to the New York Bar and Federal Court of Nebraska , USA in 1997.

 As a Film Executive Producer, he has produced several block buster movies including THE COVENANT CHURCH, TWO BROTHERS, OGIDI OMO,  AIDS PATIENT, TUMINI's SONG and many more. As a film marketer , Ope Banwo promoted and marketed some of the successful and best selling movies from Nigeria including THE COVENANT CHURCH, MADAM DEAREST 2, ABENI by TUNDE KELANI.
