After a rather successful outing with the late Dagrin’s Ghetto Dreamz biopic, executive producer Ope Banwo of Stingomania entertainment – who recently won a plaque at the City People Awards plans to make biopic a major genre in Nigeria.
At the press screening of Ghetto Dreamz, he revealed he would be producing a biopic on Charly Boy and Elegant stallion, Onyeka Onwenu.
Ope made this known recently at the press screening of Ghetto Dreamz which held at the Silverbird Cinemas in Lagos. He opens up on plans to produce a biopic on two well known Nigerian artistes, Charley Boy, and Onyeka Onwenu, popularly known as the Elegant Stallion.
The filmmaker also thinks late Dagrin is greater than late music and activist Fela Kuti and 20% of returns would go to the late rapper’s family.
