Pre-launch of MIMI SERIES book by 'LeND'

The modest event took place at the Wesley school for the hearing impaired in Surulere which drew the active participation of the students, teaching staffs and well wishers from far and near. The event was flagged off with the national pledge and the anthem followed by a brief introduction of the organization by the project coordinator Eunice Aghete-Eso as well as the LeND team members present.






Opening remarks was made by the Project Manager of LeND, Okoro Onyebuchi Desmond, who share the ideals of the organization and a summary of the HIV & AIDS Affects us too, a project targeting adolescents and young people in selected schools on HIV prevention and Sexuality education.

The main attraction was the launch of the book which was followed by a summary account of how the process started (development of MIMI SERIES) and what is contained in the book by Eunice Aghete-Eso after which copies of the book and

educative and writing materials was made available to all the students present and to the school’s library.
A short vote of thanks was given by Mrs Mordi, the school liaison of the HIV & AIDS Affects us too project which was followed by group photographs and refreshment of the participants.
The event was supported by MTV Staying Alive Foundation, an international based foundation working on HIV prevention and empowerment of youth leaders globally.
Leaders with New Dimensions (LeND) is a formidable youth driven, youth focused development initiative formerly known as UNFPA Global Youth Partners (GYP)-Nigeria. LeND presently, through the support of MTV Staying Alive Foundation (SAF), is implementing the “HIV and AIDS Affects Us Too” project targeting adolescents and young people in schools especially the Hearing Impaired in special schools and communities in Lagos state on HIV prevention, reproductive and sexual health and life skill education
