... Genevieve confesses, ‘Mirror Boy’ premiere at the Empire Leicester Square in London, UK, is the biggest premiere I ever attended.
 As countdown begins to August 5, 2011, the premiere date of the highly publicized ‘Mirror Boy’, tongues have not stopped wagging. A lot of people cannot wait to see what made the movie so thick especially in terms of all the international records accrued so far.
Already generating a lot of buzz amongst nollywood stakeholders and the media, speculations are high that the ‘Mirror Boy’ premiere is going to be another constellation of stars and celebrities.
‘Mirror Boy’ was written, produced and directed by Obi Emelonye and it features Nollywood’s finest, Genevieve Nnaji and Osita Iheme.
Highly passionate about ‘Mirror Boy’, Genevieve Nnaji speaking at the Mirror Boy premiere in Empire Leicester Square, London, UK said it was the biggest premiere she had ever attended and is very proud to be a part of the movie.
Osita Iheme another strong character in the movie said ‘my role in ‘Mirror Boy’ was a very challenging one but that did not make me less excited about the movie. Knowing Nollywood so well and having seen ‘Mirror Boy’ I have no doubt that the movie will be a hit’
Obi Emelonye speaking on the movie said ‘I am really looking forward to the ‘Mirror Boy’ premiere in Nigeria, it is a home coming for ‘Mirror Boy’ and the amount of support and accolades we have been getting tells me I am not the only one excited about the movie, Nigerians are too’.
‘The Mirror Boy’ is an enthralling journey as seen through the eyes of a London- born 12 year old African boy, Tijani. After a London street fight on 13th of June, in which a local boy is hurt, Tijan'is mother decides to take him back their roots, to Gambia. On their arrival in Banjul, Tijan iencounters a strange apparition, a boy smiling at him in a mirror and vanishing. Seeing the same boy in a crowded street market the next day sets in motion a chain of events, with Tijan finding himself lost. While Tijan's panic-stricken mother struggles to find her son, Tijan is left alone in the company of the enigmatic Mirror Boy, seemingly only visible to him. A cathartic climax helps TIJANI to unravel the mystery of the MIRROR BOY. It also provides him with a rather mystical explanation for the way his life has cascaded from the 13th of June towards this inter-twined fate with a father he has never met.
