Dj Jimmy Jatt, Wizkid and D'banj rock Sprite Triple Slam Grand finale

As the curtains finally fell on the Sprite Triple Slam (STS) campaign which is in line with its brand attributes of energetic and creative passion, Sprite, the lemon based premium brand of Coca-Cola has redeemed its brand promise of rewarding the winners with a total cash prize award of N6 million.
The grand finale where the cheques were awarded took place at the expo hall Eko Hotel and Suites. Wizkid, D'banj and DJ Jimmy Jatt performed to a mammoth crowd that thronged the venue. The STS is the consumer engagement platform of the Sprite brand.
The rap category, which was one of the key attractions of the show, produced Obinna Eneh aka (Oobi) who smiled home with a cheque of N1.5milluin. Speaking on his choice, Eldee the rap judge said Oobi has originality, stage presence, creativity, improvisation, lyrical content and good freestyle ability and these are the reasons he emerged winner.
For the dance category, Furious Energy from Lagos won the N1.5 million cash award for their daring and captivating performance. Michael, the dance judge said the Furious Energy won because they are daring, creative and made good use of props which worked in their favour.
Oobi, winner of the rap category who was full of excitement and happiness said that the STS is a wonderful opportunity to discover and promote Nigerian talent. Voicing his thoughts he said he has been rapping for 5years and that his lyrics were intellectually sound and this emerged him top notch at the competition. "I want to say a big thank you to all my fans and well wishers and a big thank you to Sprite for
this laudable opportunity."
Kennedy and Dickson Abang, the duo of Furious Energy said they have been dancing for over seven years and their inspiration is Michael Jackson. Speaking for the team, Kennedy Abang attributed their success to God and hard work. He also thanked Sprite and Coca-Cola for providing the platform for them to showcase their talents for the world to see.
Mr. Austin Ufomba, Marketing Director of Coca-Cola Nigeria Limited who spoke at the finals said that the major motivation around STS is to connect with the core target - older teens aged between 16-24, with an urbane lifestyle who are creative and disruptive in their thinking and who have certain passion points. His words: "In consumer engagement you have to meet your target consumer at the point of need and be part of his lifestyle. This motivation gave birth to the STS which is also an opportunity to inspire those who have an innate energy or skill to come and compete and be who they want to be. STS is out to inspire Nigerian youths to greatness via their passion."
The STS paraded finalists from all the regions that came to compete head on for the grand prize of N1.5 million each. Bassey Christopher from Calabar, Justin Williams from Abuja, Nwedo Chinonso from Enugu and Temple Obika from Lagos contended for the Basketball category seeing Bassey and Justin making it to the semi final stage. The contest which comprised dunking, shooting as well as ball handling was an opportunity for the players to express their uniqueness, creativity, confidence and shooting abilities and saw 19-year old Justin Williams from Abuja coming tops.
According to Mobolaji Akiode, the basketball judge, Justin won because he was well able to depict the swagger and edginess of the Sprite brand. She further stressed that his dunks were the best; "he had the most variety of the contestants and a better ball handle.
