Billboard magazine has named country pop singer-songwriter, musician and actress, Taylor Swift as the ‘Woman of the Year’ for 2011. This was announced on Tuesday, October 12, 2011. 21-year-old multiplatinum selling Swift is the youngest recipient of the award which has gone to other singers like Beyonce and Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas. In the last 12 months Taylor Swift has been the biggest selling albums artist in any genre. Her third album ‘Speak Now’ which sold over a million copies in its first week made history by landing 11 singles on the Billboard charts. The album has so far sold five million copies worldwide. The four-time Grammy Award winner will be honoured at the 2011 Billboard Women in Musicevent in New York on Friday, December 2, 2011. Swift debuted with her self-titled debut album in 2006
