Victims of the Society Movie Premieres in Grand Style

Who else could drive a mammoth crowd to a movie premier if not much loved and respected Nollywood actor and producer Elvis Chucks who had the industry stars troop out in their number to the premier of the movie “Victims of the Society”. The long awaited and much anticipated movie finally debuts in grand style at the prestigious Agip hall of the Muson Center Onikan on the 10th of December. In attendance were many celebrities, individuals from different walks of life who trooped out in their number to grace the red carpet and also support  Elvis Chuks. Amongst them are; His excellency, The Lagos State Governor, Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN) and The deputy Governor of Lagos state, Mrs Ajoke Orelope Adefulire both represented by the commissioner for health Dr Femi Nneka and Isaac Moses,Agatha Amatha. Lilian Bach,Cossy Ojiakor,O.C Ukeje amongst others.

It was an evening of utter fun and enjoyment as they wined and exchanged pleasantries before the commencement of the movie and posed for very exclusive shots for hundreds of paparazzi and the waiting lounge was filled to capacity as celebrities, fans, associates, and family members throng the venue to support Elvis Chuks.

The premiere left a lot of people touched and emotionally charged as the storyline of the movie was so heartfelt and soul touching to the audience who were so concerned with the plights of the main characters in
the movie and also the perfect role interpretation put up by the characters earned them praises of everyone in the cinema hall who continually applauded their beautiful performance.


The movie “Victim of the Society” is an advocacy flick done artistically in the aftermath effect of child abuse. It takes a holistic look at what happens when a child is turned into a monster and when the monster is unleashed on the society. The movie explores the damaging effect of abuse and the role of the society. The movie paints a picture of a growing child from a remote area who constantly witnesses the abuse of his mother by his drunken father and he has to come to terms with his two younger sisters who hawk on the street for survival. The movie is intended to sensitize the people on the dangers of child abuse, neglect and women abuse.
