Audio: Afrosoul Singer Teni debut 'LionHeart'

Teni is a jazz singer and composer who makes Afrosoul. Upon hearing her sultry and elegant jazz vocal, one is immediately reminded of the great Sade Adu.
Teni, who studied History at University College London, was living in Lagos, Nigeria, running her fashion house, The House of Makeda, leading her fourteen piece band the Afro-Renaissance, and also appearing from time to time with the Egypt 80, Fela Kutis' original band. She is set to release the second single from her forthcoming album "Afrodisiac," titled "Lionheart." She is a BBC Introducing artist after getting airplay
on several BBC shows, and has interest from several major labels in the UK.

With an album of truly classic, rootsy Afrosoul music that is ten years in the making, Teni is set to revolutionize music with an epic self-produced sound that transcends genres from jazz and the blues to soul and reggae, is inspired by eclectic influences from Fela Kuti to Marvin Gaye and Bob Marley and has a strong, truly timeless message.
