It's been a big year for Adele and life is about to get even more exciting as the singer announced that she and boyfriend Simon Konecki are expecting their first child together.
The 24-year-old British singer made the announcement on her website on Friday:
Im delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together. I wanted you to hear the news direct from me, obviously we’re over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time. Yours always, Adele xx
The Grammy winner met Konecki, 36, last summer in the U.K. and have been dating ever since, but the
singer first addressed their relationship in January 2012, in a blog post on her website, writing: "Everyone in our lives separately and together wish us nothing but the best, and vice versa."
The good news follows recent reports that the singer wanted to be pregnant by the end of the year.
