Model Of Africa Season 2 Search Begins

 Africa's prestigious male model search has returned for a spectacular second season and it's a wake up call for aspiring young male models across Africa!

The fashion and modelling industry is set to witness another spectacular showdown of new talents and professionals in the second edition of the Model Of Africa contest. The first edition of the show produced a Nigerian winner, Kenneth Okolie, who went on to represent the country on the global stage at the Mister International contest that held in Bangkok,Thailand where he made the semi-finalists cut. and his career in the fashion industry has soared to an enviable height since then; with international and local contracts to his profile.

An original initiative of XA management, one of Africa`s leading creativity and concepts based organization with deep roots and core branches in fashion, modeling, entertainment and media, the Model of Africa concept represents an innovative platform whereby the uniqueness of African male models is being presented to the international fashion industry and an avenue where top fashion brands meets potential corporate partners while showcasing their latest designs. Model of Africa is a phenomenal talent showcase that draws its participants (through a bootcamp selection process) from various upcoming male models of African backgrounds and professionals in the fashion industry from across the continent.




And with a new plan set in motion for an even more groundbreaking second edition of the Model  Of Africa contest that will be staged  in Lagos on the 14th of October 2012 at the Royal Palace hotel VI, the African audience, fashion industry and corporate partners are set to witness an unveiling of new African talents in a grand style!
         
Playing host to a list of Africa's leading designers from Tanzania, Adama Paris from Dakar, Nigeria's Mai Atafo, David Wej, Kamsi Charles, Femi Toys and Revamped Maxivive, the second edition of the MOA will be hosted by Africa's top model, Zainab Balogun and Nigeria's fashion and entertainment sweetheart Uti Nwachukwu. It'll sure be  a mind-blowing experience and a positive challenge for a start in the fashion and entertainment industry for the participating models as they contest for the MOA title in Lagos!

The winner stands a chance to represent his country on the MISTER INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION in Thailand later in the year. Other award categories for finalists includes: Mr. Photogenic Africa, Mr. Runway Africa, Mr. Style Africa, and Mr. Fitness Africa.

Interested applicants must be at least 18years of age, minimum of 5'9' height, and of at least 50% African heritage. They must possess some striking features/quality even if they lack any prior modeling experience.
