MEET BOC
Another refreshingly new track has been released by fast-rising, all-male group, BOC. This comes on the heels of successful, wake-making singles already released such as: ”More than the world to me”, “I’m so high on Jesus” and DJ Mighty’s remix of “Shokolokobangoshe”. In addition, the group has also featured artistes such as: Fays, JahBless, Reminisce, DM2 and W.A.V.E and released ground breaking singles including the crazy “Mo Lagidi” and churchly love tune “lekeleke” in collaboration with W.A.V.E.
The group recently released its newest single “Mo Ya To” featuring Super underground star Izeal. BOC brings to the already-saturated music industry a fresh wave of healthy lyrics and soul-probing issues in order to provide a variety for music lovers.
As more and more new talent are added to the industry, it is expected that the standards and quality of music would also greatly improve.
The BOC crew consists of Emphacy (real names, Omoleye Michael), Shacy (real names Olusesi Olaoluwa Michael), Fatt Beatz (real names, Moses Ajayi), Isaiah, Ololade and FLOW. Each crew member brings to the table prior experience in music, song writing and strong vocal talent.
THE CREW
He is a multi-talented song writer, composer and vocalist. He is in his 20s and hails from Ekiti State, Ijero Local Government. He is an undergraduate of Public Administration in Olabisi Onabanjo University. He attended Ijeshatedo Boys Secondary School and Apata Memorial Secondary School.
Emphacy is a former member of ‘M-Project' a hip-hop group that sprung up from the C&S Church in Surulere. ‘M-Project' a successful ‘underground’ group, has performed in a number of high profile shows in and out of Lagos, Nigeria.
Prior to becoming a vocalist and songwriter with BOC, Emphacy did a lot of recording and performing co-written songs with some upcoming artists. Emphacy’s passion is writing & singing. Asides from music, Emphacy loves reading and meeting people.
PROFILES OF MEMBERS
Shacy went through Command Children School Ikeja and the International School, University of Lagos before finally obtaining a B.sc in Insurance from the University of Lagos.
Shacy has always loved music right from childhood, and that explains why he developed his guitar playing skills before the age of 10. Shacy’s love for and appreciation of music started at an early age and was encouraged by his father who is multi-talented string instrumentalist.
Shacy has collaborated with several artistes and has produced a single with Vector the Viper, titled "Hustle". He has also worked with artistes such as LKT, Jadel, JahBless, Fays and W.A.V.E just to mention a few.
Shacy majors in rap and commenced his rap career in University of Lagos, where he participated and won a couple of Rap Battles, including a Rap Battle on Dynamix TV. Shacy’s ‘can do’ spirit is his driving force. Shacy doesn’t want his name to be ever forgotten which motivates him to always bring his best forward.
He was born on 11th of June in the early 80s and is a native of Oyo State. Moses attended Christ the King School in Ejigbo and completed his secondary education at Apata Memorial College, Ejigbo. He is an Honours graduate of Physics from the Ladoke Akintola University, Ogbomosho, Oyo State.
Fatt Beatz is an ardent producer, musician and song writer and started his musical career as a choir member in the Junior Sunday school of his church – C&S Movement Church developing into a multi talented vocalist. Fatt Beatz is extremely comfortable rendering different genre’s of music and has performed in many live events. He is also a distinguished producer of note and one of the few Nigerian Producers who has developed a strong understanding of several Production platforms including dexterity on Logic, Pro ToolsTM amongst others.
In addition to his vocal and production dexterity, Fatt Beatz plays several musical instruments including the keyboards, lead guitar and the bass guitar. Fatt Beatz has been able to take rap music to a different pedestal with his unique style and approach to the genre of music popular amongst the younger generation of listeners.
FLOW
FLOW is a multi talented investment banker and super artiste was born on the same day as the Legendary Fela “Anikulapo” Kuti on October 15. FLOW is an Investment Banking expert as well as a Song Writer extraordinaire with varied interests in music including recording, production, studio performance and live recording & performance.
FLOW’s musical career started very early in life as an anchor of a family kids band called the “Lafeco Brothers”. A multi instrumentalist, FLOW works on the “digiboard” creating beats and producing great songs as well as playing live instruments including the Saxophone, the Strings (rhythm & bass). FLOW has worked with several multi-award winning artistes including JahBless, Reminisce, Fays, DM2, W.A.V.E as well as other up coming artistes both as vocalist and in production.
Ololade Olasunkanmi Olushola
Ololade Olasunkanmi Olushola was born on the 6th of November 1985 and hails from Ogun State. He has attained SSCE, B.sc, CCNA and some other professional courses.
Ololade is a drummer and a lover of good sound with good lyrics. He is presently the Manager of BOC.
Isaiah Oluwafemi Kolawole Ogundele
Kolawole Ogundele was born on March 1st 1986, and is a native of Abeokuta, Ogun State. He completed his secondary education at Ikeja High School Ikeja, ventured into acting in 2004.
He attended an acting course at PEFTI(PENCIL'S FILM AND TELEVISION INSTITUTE) and featured in three soap operas (Papa Ajasco, This Life and Super Story. He obtained an O.N.D in Journalism at the NIGERIAN INSTITUTE OF JOURNALISM, OGBA.
He ventured into music in secondary school with a crew of 5 called Da Clefs. He did a song with the group, M-Project comprising of Emfassy, Dray, Izeal and Shacy. He was a backup singer and personal assistant to Tu-Step under the record label 2KONCEPT that has YQ Jubril and Tu-Step. N He has performed at various shows in Lagos, Ibadan and Ogun State.
