Kanye West's Paris Fashion Week Show Gets Support From Ciara

Back in 2009, Kanye West interned at GAP in an attempt to figure out the ins and outs of fashion and the industry. In the years that followed, Kanye developed a brand, DW, and created a whole line of his own designs. Now, Kanye West has unveiled his new fashion line at Paris Fashion week, and man is it revealing. Like “for unmoving chests only” revealing. The line hit the runways Saturday night.

West’s show may be less renowned for its clothing than it will be for its celebrity attendance. Lindsey Lohan, the Olsen Twins, and Ciara were in attendance, as were designers Alexander Wang and Joseph Altuzarra.

For pop singer, Ciara, the collection hit the spot. She loved the line, its colors, patterns, and textures.

    "It was definitely one of the most talked-about events, because it wasn't going to be your typical show. This doesn't happen every day, and to see someone like Kanye, who aspires to succeed in fashion,
to get so much respect and cross over like this, it was monumental. It was an historic moment."
The  looks ranged from binding leather pants and dresses, to pops of orange color and beaded prints.Another weird look on several of the models were shoes reminiscent of giant stretched marshmallows lashed together. Fur was also present, but not as noticeable as the multiple low-cut tops. You can check out pictures from the runway event over at MTV.

The fashion line may have been interesting, but underwhelming; however, it is certainly a testament to how hard West works. If he continues to put in as much effort as he seems to be putting in currently, in a few years he could really make a designer name for himself. He should just get his designs out there by appearing on Project Runway.
