STUDENTS PROTESTS ROCHAS' "LARGESE"
The news that primary and secondary school students in Imo State would henceforth be respectively paid N100 and N150 monthly by the state government was greeted with annoyance by the students. Their annoyance stemmed from the fact that government spends N200 daily on feeding prisoners. The visibly pissed students cried out against the injustice, wondering what offense they'd committed which made them lower than prisoners. Promise Okoko, a class prefect, who spoke on behalf of the students, lamented the development saying, "As you know, we do Maths too and we know that N200 times 30 days is N6,000 per prisoner, while we will get only N150. What can that one buy for a day let alone one month?"
