Beautiful Music: Chuddy K hits studio with Bruno Mars

The Nigerian music industry over the years has been on the high, as every artist and management has
continued to raise the bar of quality sounds and content.

We can authoritatively tell that Nigerian RnB singer Chuddy K is currently working on doing a single with
American singer, song writer and record producer Bruno Mars, who Nigerians love with his massive
song “Catch your Grenade”.

The relationship was brokered two months ago, as our sources say Bruno Mars was very pleased with
his Chuddy K voice and delivery. With great strides taken by Nigerian musicians in recent past, this
collaboration is another sign that very soon a Grammy Award will come to Nigeria.

The Nigerian public and music lovers are definitely the ones to enjoy these strides, good music all the
way.

When asked about her decision to take her movie on a tour in the United States, Uche said, "it is just a way of spreading the message against domestic violence, because if we look at it, it is truly a global problem. Also, apart from the showing of the movie in the United States, there would also be the sale of merchandise which would further spread the message to stop domestic violence. This will not only raise awareness to domestic violence, but would also serve as a means of raising funds which would be contributed toward the course.

Uche Jombo who is the producer of the movie, also acted in the movie alongside some of Nollywood's best like Tonto Dike, Basorge Tariah Jr and Kalu Ikeagwu.

The movie 'Damage' presents the case of love and domestic violence in such a manner that has never been seen in Nollywood. 'Damage' is about the story of a man (Kalu Ikeagwu) and his wife (Uche Jombo) who loves each other immensely, but their communication channel is flawed as there is always one thing or the other to fight about, and this has a serious psychological effect on their children and led to irreplaceable loss.

When asked how she felt about her work, Uche Jombo stated, I am very proud of what we have achieved, there is no better word to describe how I feel when I see the turnout of people coming to watch the movie and am sure that all those involved in the production of the film would definitely feel the same way.

"Workers shut down Airtel call centres following strike by National Union of Postal and Telecommunication Employees (NUPTE) on friday."
AGGRIEVED workers of Airtel Telecommunication has shut down the two major call centres of the company located in Lagos and Abuja and declared indefinite strike.
They are protesting among others, alleged plan by the management of Spanco and Techmahindra; the core centre service providers for Airtel to disengage 50 percent of the customer service agents in a bid to cut cost.
According to investigation, trouble started about six months ago when the management of Airtel engaged the services of two technical partners from India namely Spanco and Techmahindra to provide core centre services and shops for Airtel.
Before then, the workers were outsourced by Banzeleel, HR Index and CCSNL that were said to have recruited call centre agents for Airtel and had their contract renewed every six 'months before the workers were transferred to the third party agency.

Kanye West's Paris Fashion Week Show Gets Support From Ciara

Back in 2009, Kanye West interned at GAP in an attempt to figure out the ins and outs of fashion and the industry. In the years that followed, Kanye developed a brand, DW, and created a whole line of his own designs. Now, Kanye West has unveiled his new fashion line at Paris Fashion week, and man is it revealing. Like “for unmoving chests only” revealing. The line hit the runways Saturday night.

West’s show may be less renowned for its clothing than it will be for its celebrity attendance. Lindsey Lohan, the Olsen Twins, and Ciara were in attendance, as were designers Alexander Wang and Joseph Altuzarra.

For pop singer, Ciara, the collection hit the spot. She loved the line, its colors, patterns, and textures.

"It was definitely one of the most talked-about events, because it wasn't going to be your typical show. This doesn't happen every day, and to see someone like Kanye, who aspires to succeed in fashion,

New Music: 'Not Jos a Song' Plumbtifex ft Ese Peters

No one needs to be a Psychic to Know that the Carnage in Jos has attained Epic proportions. The question has suddenly moved from  'When will it end?' to 'Where Next?'.  Beautiful Memories have morphed into Clips from Horror Flicks.

Consequently, the follow up single to BEAUTIFUL, the first single off the TyRantimus :7 Days WERK (WERK is acronym for Words, Expressions of Rant and Kraft) EP,  is this Single: NOT JOS A SONG . This track turns the Pathos several notches higher than its Romantic predecessor.

With a Haunting hook by Ese Peters (When the Last Victim is Shot and there's no one left to mourn, in the City of Jos, we will keep 'dem Guns) and Spontaneous but Melancholic Loops by 2011 Red Bull Music Academy delegate Kraftmatiks, it wasn't hard to evoke TyRantimus , the 7 Day studio-lab alter-ego of Plumbline/Plumbtifex.

AIRTEL debunk 'Sack Rumors' says 40% Airtel workers are Contract Staff of Another Agency

‎Airtel Call Centre Shutdown: The True Position

Contrary to the rumours and outright falsehood being peddled across certain social media platforms, Airtel Nigeria has not sacked any of its employees and does not have any intention to cut staff salaries.
Airtel employees remain committed.

Regarding the recent call centre shutdown, the contract of an agency to one of our partners expired September 30th. About 40 per cent of call centre workers are employees of this agency. Despite the contract expiration, several employees of this agency will be re-absorbed into the system. So, the issue of mass sack, salary cut and poor benefits are outright falsehood.
Airtel is committed to realizing its vision of being the most loved brand in Nigeria and will continue to ensure that the dialogue between its call centre partners and their employees is fruitful and productive.
They also remain passionate in their quest to continue to provide our customers with the best service experience.

President Jonathan's address to the Nation on Nigeria's 51st Independence anniversary

ADDRESS TO THE NATION BY PRESIDENT GOODLUCK EBELE JONATHAN, GCFR, ON THE OCCASION OF NIGERIA'S 51STINDEPENDENCE ANNIVERSARY
1ST OCTOBER 2011
Fellow Compatriots,

1. On this day 51 years ago, the British Union Jack was lowered and replaced by our national Green-White-Green flag, heralding the independence of our nation. The 1st of October remains a special day for us, for Africa, and indeed the world.

2. As we celebrate today, we remember with pride, the nationalism and patriotism that inspired our founding fathers and the Nigerian people. They set aside their differences, to secure the unity and independence of our great country.
3. That is the Nigerian spirit! For the Nigerian spirit cannot be broken. We are a resilient nation, determined to chart a course, through the turbulent waters of nation building. The Nigerian spirit is vibrant today in the world.
4. Our citizens at home and abroad, are making their mark in all fields of human endeavor. These hard-working and committed Nigerians, remain a source of pride to us and a beacon of what is achievable, if we remain focused and determined.
5. I know that a great number of you are joining hands with me and the Administration, in the great task ahead.
6. I value all Nigerians. I see our youth who are looking for jobs and yet remain hopeful. I see the farmer, and fisherman, toiling everyday to earn a living. I see the teacher, working hard, to train our future generations, with much sacrifice. I see the market women whose entrepreneurial spirit helps to generate income for their children and families. I see our sportsmen and women training hard to bring glory to our nation.  I see our resilience and commitment, as a nation, to defend our democracy and secure our future.
7. I see every single profession and vocation, making positive contributions to national progress. I value you all!
8. Together, we shall work for a Nigeria in which democracy and the rule of law are sacrosanct.
