Lauryn Hill cleared the air on Twitter about her relationship with Bob Marley's son, Rohan. The singer, who welcomed a baby boy July 23, 2011, would not reveal the identity of the child's father, even after rumors circulated that it was maybe not her longtime ex Rohan Marley, with whom she shares five other children. Fashion tips : Brooches

BROOCHES
They are available in an endless variety of styles, brooches are versatile accessories that can give your outfit that extra touch. You can rock a brooch in an unexpected way with these creative suggestions.
  • Accent a Headband; bring some life to a fabric headband by simply attaching a brooch. Smaller brooches look elegant when placed off to the side, while large brooches make excellent centerpieces. If you want a gypsy inspired look, attach a brooch to the center of a turban headband.
  • Pin your scarf with a brooch: When you put your scarf around your neck connect it in the middle with a brooch. It will give your scarf a whole different feel!Wear the edgy brooches with your soft, feminine dresses and blouses to make them stand out
  • Never let your brooch match the color of your outfit: that will make it old-fashioned and matronly.
  • Don’t be afraid to wear more brooches at a time: just make sure you coordinate the style. A plastic smiley brooch doesn’t go with a vintage crystal one. Not that I think any of you fashionistas would wear a plastic, yellow, smiley brooch
  • Create a Necklace; Combine a brooch with any of your jewelry to create a one-of-a-kind necklace. The secret is in the placement - connect the ends of a necklace with a brooch, and you have an instant statement piece. You'll look artsy and unique with this interesting take on accessories.
  •  Intensify a Hairdo; who says a brooch has to be pinned to items? You can mix it up by using it as a hair accessory. When you're done getting ready, carefully attach the brooch to your hair for a fresh new look. You'll look glamorously vintage >>>>>> Fashion tips by Ayo

UCHE JOMBO’S ‘DAMAGE’ PREMIERES THIS SUNDAY

Why is there so much violence where love is obtainable? Does the husband have monopoly of violence in the home? Who suffers the most from all the violence? These were the outlined questions that defined ‘Damage’ a new movie by Nollywood sultry actress and producer Uche Jombo, which addresses societal ills to its roots without losing its cue for entertainment. All set to be premiered on July 31st, 2011 at the Silverbird Galleria
in Lagos, ‘Damage’ features Nollywood finest, Uche Jombo, Kalu Ikeagwu, Tonto Dikeh, Basorge Tariah Jr and others. The thrilling movie ‘Damage’, tells the story of love and the pain of
domestic violence with a style that projects the subject as one that has not been threaded before in a movie. A man (Kalu Ikeagwu) and his wife (Uche Jombo) love each other immensely yet their day to day life can only be described as a ‘cat and mouse’ situation. They fight violently almost on a daily basis and one of the long run effects of their fights is the psychological torture their children had to go through.
Talks have it that the premiere is going to be another Nollywood grand affair as all the Nollywood

Chris Brown, Adele and Lil Wayne to perform at MTV VMA August 28

    Adele
The trio are the first performers announced for the Aug. 28 ceremony in Los Angeles, at the Nokia Theatre.
She called his 2007 performance at the VMAs one of the most memorable: "He will give an energetic, bombastic, jaw-dropping performance." Adele, who is nominated for seven VMAs, is also scheduled to perform. Only Katy Perry has more VMA nods with nine; Adele is tied with Kanye West with her seven.
Doyle predicted Adele would "bring chills down everybody's spine, if not bring them to tears, too."
Adele has the year's best-selling album with "21," but Doyle notes that her live act hasn't been seen much: Adele was forced to reschedule some concerts earlier this year because of a throat problem.
Lil Wayne's appearance will come a day before the scheduled release of his much-anticipated new album, "Tha Carter IV." Like Brown, he has also performed before on the VMAs.
"Being a nominee and performer on the VMAs once again is an honor because everyone doesn't get that opportunity," he said in statement. "Looking forward to performing on the show, and having 'Tha Carter IV' drop the same week!"

Nicki Minaj fined £7 for swearing during Jamaican concert

Nicki Minaj has been fined for swearing during a performance in Jamaica. The rapper and singer broke the law with her profanity-laden set, prompting a court appearance and a tiny fine.
It was Minaj's first time performing in Jamaica, a country that strongly enforces anti-profanity laws at concerts. After headlining the final night at Montego Bay's Reggae Sumfest, Minaj was reportedly approached by Jamaican police and told she had violated the Towns and Communities Act, which dates from British colonial times and penalises "obscenity in a public place". She was issued a court summons for 28 July.
Minaj never appeared. Instead, a local lawyer entered a guilty plea on her behalf. The singer was ordered to pay a fine of 1,000 Jamaican dollars – equivalent to just £7. On Twitter, Minaj joked about the incident: "I swear I just had the time of my life," she wrote.

Karen vs Vina : Nigeria's girl fight

Karen jumped at Vina in the morning calling her names and charging her for forcing herself on Lomwe who doesn’t even want her.
This was after Vina tried correcting her that the Big Brother House is in Africa, which prompted Karen to attack her for thinking she knows it all.
Karen warned Vina to stop going around acting all perfect but Vina insisted that Karen should learn to take jokes.
As usual, Hanni tried intervening but the girls were too heated to give up on the fight.
“When one is fire, the other has to be water,” Hanni tried getting through to Vina. However, not even Luclay to get the girls quiet instead, he seemed to be fueling Karen as he tried begging Vina to accept her the way she is.

Jennifer Lopez To Bag 21M For American Idol Return

Jennifer Lopez is set to land £21 million to continue as a judge on 'American Idol'. The 'On The Floor' hitmaker - who split from her husband Marc Anthony earlier this month after seven years together - will reportedly bag the sum to reappear alongside fellow panellists Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson on the US TV talent show.
Cécile Frot-Coutaz, chief executive officer at FremantleMedia North America, which produces the series, said: "We're in good shape. No worries. No dark clouds on the horizon."
The 42-year-old singer received £8 million for her role on the programme last year, but sources have hinted Jennifer is holding out for a fee close to the £21 million-a-year former judge Simon Cowell was earning on the Fox show.
However, Jennifer recently admitted she was "on the fence" about whether to return to her place on the panel of 'American Idol'.
She said: "You know, this is the question of the hour.
"I don't know. I haven't been forced to make a decision and I'm glad about that because, honestly, I'm very on the fence about it. I had an amazing time doing it and I loved it, but I have a lot of other things happening, and it's going to come down to me making a choice of what I want to do for the next year and we're not really at the breaking point of, 'You have to make a decision right now!'
"I'm just really enjoying the time of just waiting and seeing."

20 celebrities who died before age 35

    Heath Ledger
Amy Winehouse's recent death at age 27 has sparked conversations about her joining "Club 27" -- meaning she has unfortunately joined several other celebrities who died when they were just 27 years old.

It's an eerie coincidence that Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix and Kurt Cobain all passed away three years shy of 30, but they're certainly not the only celebrities to have died well before their time.

From Heath Ledger and Brittany Murphy's recent untimely deaths to David Foster Wallace, Hemmingway , Buddy Holly and James Dean, Keith Moon, Cliff Burton, BRAD NOWELL, Shannon Hoon  young celebrity deaths are tragic at any age.

Courtney Melody, Garnett Silk, Tenor Saw, Bob Marley and Jacob Miller, to name a few Jamaican who died before their time.
