The Headies 2011 formerly known as HipHopWorld award  has come and gone but the memories will still linger on in the minds of many and this year edition was different and it was a break from the norm  The event was hosted by Nollywood Diva Rita Dominic and Ace producer, songwriter and rapper Lanre Dabiri aka Eldee the Don. The event took place at the prestigious Eko Hotel and Suites on Saturday 22nd  October, 2011 in Lagos, Nigeria. 

Nigerian Music stars performed and rocked at the 2011 edition of The Headies. Great Performances from Waje and Muna (So Inspired) , MI ( African Rapper Number one), Omawumi (If you ask me) with special appearance by Ace Comedian Gbenga Adeyinka and Tomi of Tinsel, Sound Sultan Ninja Ninja
(Orobo) with Special apperance with Princess the comedienne and Eniola Badmus of Jenifa Gbogbo Bigz girls, Sir Shina Peters, Jahbless (Joor Remix ) with Iceprince, Reminisce and Eldee, Iceprince and Brymo (Superstar and Oleku) , Dr Sid ( Over the moon) he performed but he stopped in between while he was performing cos the Dj lost his performance track though he was pissed he promised to come back and perform but he didn't, Tiwa Savage also rocked the stage (Love me 3x).

WIZKID WITH HIS AWARD

Innocent Idibia popularly known as 2 Baba  or  2face ruled with 3 different awards on Saturday night, R n B songwriter Darey Art Alade also won 2 awards, Dr Sid won 2 awards and Ayo Balogun 'Wizkid"  won the next rated category with a brand new Hyundai Sonata over other nominees Tiwa Savage, Olamide and Iceprince. And for the sixth time Modenine won the Lyricist on the roll category he has won this category over the years and this year he took the award home again. Congratulations to all the winners and they all deserve it.
