MY PROFILE

Popularly called the CFR (Comedian of the Federal Republic) Gbenga Adeyinka 1^st CFR crept into the public psyche as a standup comedian in a dramatic way. His first introduction was an appearance at a function about ten years back. Since then he has perfected his art to become one of those beat in the business.

He is a graduate of English from the University of Lagos with Television programmes on AIT, MBI, GALAXY T.V and AFRICA MAGIC on DSTV and he also appears on segments on programmes on many television shows.

His humor emanates from an informed mind with a lot of depth and richness in meaning. He is a polyglot whose presentation medium is English, blended with the three major Nigerian Languages and a working knowledge   of three other international languages.

His comedy and music shows tagged “Gbenga Adeyinka 1^st and friends…. As well Comedy Unleashed is leading upscale comedy event that continues to gather greater momentum and win the hearts of new fans.

A man of many firsts Gbenga is the first Stand-up comedian to have worked in Ghana. He has to date had the honour of anchoring the Ghana Music Award twice and performed at over 12 other show in Ghana where his fan base is huge

He is also the publisher of Nigeria’s first Comedy Magazine LAFFMATTAZZ MAGAZINE described by many as the voice of the Nigerian Comedy Industry and he also have a TV comedy LAFFMATTAZZ ON TV showing every Thursday on Galaxy TV Station from 6:30pm to 7:00pm.

His career has seen him working In the UK, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Liberia, South Africa and the 36 states of Nigeria. His clients have included but are not limited to the Nigeria Breweries Plc., for whom for the past seven years he has hosted the award winning STAR TV GAME that runs on NTA and other major networks in Nigeria and internationally on DSTV.

He has had the privilege of anchoring Nigeria’s premium Music Concert STAR MEGA JAM and has shared the same stage with AWILO, AKON, LL COOL J, JA RULE, KEVIN LITTLE, T PAIN, KANYE WEST, NAS, BUSTER RHYMES, LUDACRIS and numerous top rate Nigerian artiste.

He has been described as the most versatile comedian in the business; Gbenga has the ability to work a large crowd to frenzy, the ability to compeer a corporate event making the crowd laugh and the same time getting the brand message across and the grace to adapt to a small private party. He is described as the toast of Government and Government parastatals, Corporate Nigeria’s stress reliever and a brand that brand custodians respect and that consumers find hard to resist.  

Gbenga is today one of Nigeria’s top rate stand-up comedian, excellent event compeer (MC) and Event consultant.
