After holding auditions in Port Harcourt, Abuja and Lagos, the 12 finalists that will show their collections in October during MTN Lagos Fashion and Design Week Awards have been chosen (and we are glad as we’ve featured 3 of them already!!)
Those chosen don’t only get the chance to show their collections during Lagos Fashion & Design Week which holds on the 24th of October – the 27th 2012, they have already been through special Subtraction classes sponsored by British Council Nigeria and facilitated Julian Roberts; the inventor of a garment pattern cutting method called ‘Subtraction Cutting’, which he demonstrates live in front of large audiences in America
and the UK, teaching people of all ages and levels of expertise how to construct creative clothing.
The winner of the MTN Lagos Fashion & Design Week Young Designers Award goes home with a whooping 4 Million Naira!!!
Without further ado, these are this years lucky 12 Designer Finalists for the MTN LFDW 2012 Awards.
