Mercy Chinwo Becomes Nigerian Idol Season 2 winner

After Five months of the second season of the Nigerian Idol show kicked off and the tight competition , great performances and surprise evictions. Everyone's favourite Chinwo Nnenda  better known as 'Mercy' was announced the winner of the second edition of Nigeria Idol. Mercy defeated her co-contestant Joe Blue after they each rendered three songs which was heavily applauded by the audience.

The Port Harcourt lady, Mercy, walked away with $100, 000 as well as other befitting packages.

The show which was aired on TV stations for months with over 20 contestants  came to an end on April 7, 2012 after their mind-blowing performances.

Joe Blue came as runner-up after they both battled it out by performing 3 songs.

Guest performing artiste were Chuddy k, W4 and Wizkid.

The Judges for the Competition were Yinka Davies, Jeffery Daniel and Charlie Boy. The Hosts for the show were Tiwa Savage and Ill-Rhymes.
