For the record, I'm not superstitous. I don't believe in the warnings on tarot cards, or the futuristic powers of crystal balls (maybe be a little bit) *chuckles* but I'm tempted to ask if the sensational-DC comic-now-turned-Hollywood-
New Zealand born special effects technician, who died while working on that film. Morgan Freeman, too, who played Lucius Fox in The Dark Knight, had his own fair share of the Batman "curse" and was seriously injured in a car accident in Mississippi in August 2008.
A stunt double for Anne Hathaway, who played Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises, reportedly crashed into an expensive camera equipment during filming in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in August last year. He was on a camera truck filming a stunt when it happened. Another cast member was struck but survived, fortunately. Star of the franchise, Christian Bale, hit the headlines in July 2008 when he was arrested for allegedly assaulting his mother and sister shortly before the London's premiere.*sigh*
Perhaps these are just strings of coincidences, things happening by chance in a surprising way and not the evil manipulations of some embittered voodooist. Whatever the case maybe, the Batman franchise will continue to delight us and liven up our screens. Not to mention the fact that the sequel is doing pretty well in the box office, grossing over $300 million in just 12days...perhaps Batman isn't cursed afterall.
Fantastic write-up brova.
