Bloggers, Celebrities, Social Influencers gather at GET Arena for a Google+ Experience

Last week Thursday and Friday, all roads led to GET ARENA as the Google Nigeria team held an exclusive session targeted at Nigerian social influencers, social media enthusiasts and celebrities on Google's new social networking platform, Google plus.


The event was Tagged #gplusgidi and it attracted a host of influencers from bloggers to Nollywood stars, Fashion Designers, Comedians including Noble Igwe, Waje, Lami, Jeffrey Daniels, Gbemi Olateru Olagbegi, OloriSupergal, Mo'Cheddah, Dr. Sid, Mai Atafo, Linda Ikeji, Brymo, Bovi, Tosyn Bucknor, Jedi, Uche Nnaji 'OUCH!', Uche Jumbo and many more. The event was hosted by Basketmouth and it also provided an opportunity for all who were at the conference to learn more about the opportunities provided by Google+ for promoting one's brand, business or online content.

The event sessions were kicked off by Google's Marketing Manager, Affiong Osuchukwu and Google Nigeria Business Development Associate Lanre Aina, who led the interactive demos enlightening the
audience about the unique features of the platform.

Google also gave out Samsung Android smartphones to new Google + users who registered there through a contest sponsored by Samsung. Storm Records artiste Yung6ix also emerged as one of the contest's winners.

Nigerian artistes such as Naeto C, Bez Idakula, Dr. Sid, Darey Art Alade and Jesse Jagz Abaga have been on the platform as recommended musicians to follow to first time Google+ users.
