Makeup by Marc Jacobs Coming Soon

Designer, Marc Jacobs already takes care of all of our clothing, jewellery, scent, and handbag needs, we might as well let him take care of our faces too because that's exactly what the fashion designer plans to do.

Expanding his already far-reaching fashion empire, the designer is in the beginning stages of adding one more aspect into his design mix: a cosmetics line. In an interview with Women's Wear Daily, Marc said he's anxious to see this happen.

It may seem a bit odd for a clothing designer to dip into cosmetics, but Marc is far from alone. Calvin Klein is gearing up to launch its own CK One cosmetics line, as well. And as far as Marc Jacobs is concerned, it's all in the same family anyway.

According to the designer "Anything to me that is part of the joy, the ritual, of getting dressed — things that women enjoy like bags, shoes, fragrance, clothes, makeup — that's what fashion's about for me," he said speaking on his newest scent, Dot, which will be launched by Coty Prestige in July. "I love the opportunity, wherever there is one, to adorn, to decorate, to scent, to dress. That's what fashion's all about. It's not necessary, it's something you want — it's a fancy and a whim."
