                                                       WORLD WONDER
…”Opeyemi!! She screamed my name as she rolled over to my side of the bed and looked into my eyes... Immediately I began to swallow spit (many thoughts were racing through my mind at the same time ,the last time she called my name in full was when she saw nude pictures of Kim on my phone. Or has Kendra been pinging me again? I have told Khloe not to text me during the weekends…maybe one of my female followers has sent another sexually provocative DM?) I couldn’t place my mind to anything in particular, what was it this time? I lifted my face slowly from the news paper and looked directly into her sparkling ebony eyes…the innocence of a child adorned her entire spotless face and I said stuttering “baby, don’t you think you have had enough play time with my BlackBerry? Let me have it so I can re-charge the battery” She said no! And with a whimsical look and much calmer voice she asked…”baby, what do you know about the TAJ MAHAL?”…

It’s a white marble mausoleum located in Agra India and built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his third wife Mumtaz mahal, in-there lies a masterpiece of Indo-Islamic art some described it as a “tear on the face of the enemy” . It took 22years to build it (1631-1653) by over 20,000 artisans… the TAJ MAHAL is one of the 8th wonders of the world and represents beauty, art, architecture and Love.  The ornamental gardens of the TAJ MAHAL are an ingenious and harmonic experience to visitors…closely linked to paradise
on earth you can’t help but wonder! I thought without a doubt that I had satisfied her curiosity until she hit me with the second blow…”baby, would you build me a monument that sort of resembles the TAJ MAHAL”? O_O

That was a few weeks ago, although we both laughed about it and I sent pictures of the TAJ MAHAL to her phone *bleh*, today I ponder about what my Capricorn lady-lover said to me as I observe my quiet time (that time between breakfast and filing stuff at work when  the need to eat before you actually start buzzing with work activities is less consuming) and in my quest to be the best man I could possibly be I asked myself without mincing words; #me2self  ”would you build a monument like the TAJ MAHAL for someone you love”? #self2me *deep sigh* if only I am an Emperor!…before you cast the first stone like you are without sin or begin to think that my love don’t cost a thing (I’m getting you)… first, lend me your ears/open up your heart / and let your mind be clouded with wonderful figments of imagination as I invite you to escape with me to another world of wonder as you read my narrative of  “Gods letter to a woman” as told by an anonymous writer;

When I created the heavens and the earth, I spoke them into being.
When I created man, I formed him and breathed life into his nostrils.
But you, woman, I fashioned after I breathed the breath of life into man, because your nostrils are too delicate.
I allowed a deep sleep to come over him
so I could patiently and perfectly fashion you.
Man was put to sleep so that he could not interfere with the creativity.
From one bone, I fashioned you.
I chose the bone that protects man's life.
I chose the rib, which protects his heart and lungs and supports him,
as you are meant to do.
Around this one bone, I shaped you....... I modeled you.
I created you perfectly and beautifully.
Your characteristics are as the rib, strong yet delicate and fragile.
You provide protection for the most delicate organ in man, his heart.
His heart is the center of his being; his lungs hold the breath of life.
The ribcage will allow itself to be broken before it will allow damage to the heart. Support man as the rib cage supports the body.
You were not taken from his feet, to be under him,
Nor were you taken from his head, to be above him.
You were taken from his side, to stand beside him and be held close to his side.
You are my perfect angel.....You are my beautiful little girl.
You have grown to be a splendid woman of excellence,
and my eyes fill when I see the virtues in your heart.
Your eyes...don't change them.
Your lips, how lovely when they part in prayer.
Your nose, so perfect in form.
Your hands so gentle to touch. I've caressed your face in your deepest sleep.
I've held your heart close to mine.
Of all that lives and breathes, you are most like me.
Adam walked with me in the cool of the day, yet he was lonely.
He could not See me or touch me. He could only feel me.
So everything I wanted Adam to share and experience with me, I fashioned in you; my Holiness, my Strength, my Purity, my Love, my Protection and Support.
You are special because you are an extension of me.
Man represents my image, woman my emotions.
Together, you represent the totality of God.
So man......treat woman well.
Love her; respect her, for she is fragile. In hurting her, you hurt me.
What you do to her, you do to me.
In crushing her, you only damage your own heart;
the heart of your Father and the heart of her Father.
Woman, support man. In humility, show him the power of emotion
I have given you.
In gentle quietness, show your strength.
In love, show him that you are the rib that protects his inner self.

So the answer is ‘YES’…”yes baby, I would build you a monument greater than the TAJ MAHAL it will be a ‘holy’ temple (your body) where I‘d come to marvel at your awesomeness every day. I will call it LOVE because a woman is a ‘world wonder’ and all she needs is LOVE…not a monumental apparatus of some sort”!

 Who are you? (I WONDER)

N.B: This piece is dedicated to all the beautiful women out there, y’all are truly a wonder. And to ‘my own heart wonder’ *insert BBM smiley face here*…it’s been a year already baby and I’m still amazed by your  beauty, comforted by your touch, perplexed by your words and honored by your love…but, I’m yet to decipher; who are you? my WONDER!!
